By the Word of the Lord
Have you ever noticed that the main point of attack the enemy strikes against God’s people is the issue of Sonship? He is constantly working to get us to believe we are someone different than Who God says we are! Of course, he doesn’t stop there, He does not want us to believe that God is exactly who God says He is!
Jesus had to learn these things too. As a child he grew in wisdom and stature. Wisdom about who his Father was and his own identity in relation to that. He came as a baby born to a virgin, he grew in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man. As He grew the Father revealed to him his identity, just as when we grow, we learn the identity of who our Father is. Jesus ministered for three and half years, leading those around him to connect in intimacy with him and his Father, this too is the ministry we have been commissioned with.
The enemy did not want Jesus to flourish. He did not want him to know that He was the Son of God—just like he does not want you to know that you are a child of God as well. When Jesus was in the wilderness, Satan was big on trying to get him to believe anything but his identity! His sonship.
What did Jesus do? He fought back with the Word of the Lord. He fought back with the truth! It’s exactly the same for us. We overcome the enemy with the Word of the Lord. We stand on Who God says He is and Who He says we are. Who is God? God is good ALL the time! God is love. God is in a good mood, and He wants to see you happy. God is your kind and loving father. God is your Provider. God is everlasting. God is the beginning and the end. God is…..a never ending list.
Who are You? Precious. Wanted. Rooted. Empowered. Authentic. Loved. Chosen. Holy. Set apart. Destined. Victorious. Again, a very long list… Jesus is unveiling himself in each of us, His Bride, and with the Word of the Lord, we are empowered to go tell others who He is, and Who we are because of him! Jesus lived on this earth to be an example to us. He received revelation from his Father, revelation of identity, just as we must receive revelation about who He is and who we are—all by the Word of the Lord!
As Jesus walked day by day, his Father revealed to him with each experience a deeper understanding of who He was and what his mission was. He grew into deeper and deeper understanding of how he was to fulfill his mission and purpose as a Son. He learned by the Word of the Lord!
Same with us. The Spirit of God lives in us. “We are the light, help, healing, truth and the living expression of God.“ Brian Simmons. We are meant to be a generation that reveals Christ to the world—Christ in you, the hope of glory. It may seem that we live in a world of hopelessness and despair, but we have the hope of glory living in us! This hope empowers us through any difficulty for ourselves and to share with others.
“As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.” 2 Peter 1:4 TPT
No wonder the enemy does not want you to know who you are of who God is! Look at what God has placed inside of you and look who He has called you to be!
A.MAZ.ING.!
YOU, my friend, are destined to be like Jesus! So, arise, Bride of Christ! Shine in your glory garments. “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you!” Isaiah 60:1
We are one with Christ. Now is the time to run from the darkness, and shine in your glory garments. Toss out all that veils you from seeing who you are and who God is, do not let shame overtake you, or false humility veil you from shining. Embrace the Spirit of God living in you, and live by the Word of the Lord, live in His glory!
“And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with him! For God has re-created you all over again in his perfect righteousness, and you now belong to him in the realm of true holiness.” Ephesians 4:24 TPT
