I’ve been working on a devotional/Journal, soon to be released. It goes into a little more depth of what it means to Get Real before God and others.
“Your spiritual roots go deeply into his life as you are continually infused with strength, encouraged in every way. For you are established in the faith you have absorbed and enriched by your devotion to him!” Galatians 2:7 (TPT)
I love this verse. I love how our spiritual roots go deeply into his life, and the result of this depth is strength and encouragement. Feeling weak and discouraged? Simply study the life of Jesus. Dig into who he is, what he’s about, his promises. The possibilities of revelation are endless. We can study the life of Jesus forever and still learn more! FOREVER!
I love the domino effect of Jesus. When we rest in him, our faith grows. When our faith grows, we become rooted deeper and deeper. The deeper we are rooted, the stronger we become and the more we want to surrender and rest in him. For strength is surrender. When this happens, we are greatly encouraged by his life and his promises, and the desire to give that encouragement to others thrives within us. We then want to go back to Jesus for more, so with deep gratitude we fall before His Throne and experience more rooting, more strength, more faith, and more encouragement. We then learn to live a life of authenticity, for the closer we are to Jesus the more we are able to be exactly who he created us to be, and we know how deeply we are loved by him. When we accept his love, we give love to others, which brings them encouragement and strength and leads them to the feet of Jesus to grow roots in him! This brings witness to Jesus being alive in our hearts and the beauty of being endeared to him. Ah, yes, and so we continue living in him, growing in him, recognizing the beauty of all that he has done, and resting in his presence.
When we get Jesus, we get real!
