I love the visual image in my mind of this verse. The gentle, unobtrusive Jesus! Jesus, always draws us near to himself, and he comes close to us. I know for me, he does find me in the places that I can sometimes hide. He meets me there, tenderly drawing me out of the facade of safety into his arms. He looks into who I am and plants beauty in every place. He resides softly.
There is no place that we can go where God cannot find us. There is no thought that we can have that God cannot renew. There is nothing that hinders him from loving us. He is there, inviting us to be in the Light with him, always.
“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come along with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one the season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone.” verse 10-11
Did you catch that? The season has changed. God wants to brings us all into a new season, to release us from the bondage of winter and bring us out of the secret place of hiding into a new day!
He is caling you today to Arise! I know he is beackoning me to come along with him to new places. He is tending to the garden of my heart, planting blossoms that flourish.
Do you hear him calling you too?
