Lord God Almighty

The veil is gone, and will stay gone as you continue to access the ladder to hope and practice who God says you are.

When I was a kid I use to sing the song Jacobs ladder while my brother played his guitar. At that time it seemed like the song was just about a guy that had a dream about angels climbing a ladder into heaven. The story behind the song involves Jacob falling asleep one night and having a dream. He laid his head on a rock, fell asleep, and God gave him an interesting peak into himself.

As I was listening to a sermon this morning, this dream was discussed. The speaker said that the ladder represents our DNA-you and me- the traffic on the ladder is actually us entering into the inheritance of heaven to commune with God. The Trinity is in our DNA. As children of God we have an all access pass to the Throne room of God. We have a seat there right next to him. Unfortunately, we do not always choose to walk up the ladder. We stay stuck in our old habits, old lies, old mindsets. We do not believe that because God resides within us, we are his Temple, and with that privilege we have the ability to move mountains. The mountain of lies, pain, doubts, rebellion, etc…

When we live in the Throne room of God we are living in a realm of holiness. We are living in the destiny uniquiely designed for us by God. When we reside in this holy place, we are enthroned by unwavering mercy and grace. We are changed, transformed, renewed, revived, and completely restored. The veil is removed and we are able to see clearer than before.

“We can all draw to him with the veil removed from or faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into h is very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT

I think this is truly amazing news. One of the things I remember about church as a child was a song we sang every week. “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God AlmightyAs a child I found the song to be slow, long, and boring. But, now, I often think of this song and I feel a deep sense of awe. Our God is holy and almighty, and he gives us access to that, because he gives us access to him! Whoa….You can have an unveiled relationship with the holy, mighty God! It is yours, it is part of who you are. This is good news beyond anything we can imagine! Jesus has called us, sanctified us, made us his temple, and given us the key to holiness! Christ Jesus is our holiness. He is life within us, his value is priceless, he is glorious. As we tap into our DNA, we become more like Jesus, and his glory is seen in all that we do. We shine in all places and the darkness does not frighten us. We overcome the darkness with truth and light. We have relationship that strengthens our resolve to face all things.

I feel like we are living in a time that requires us to be strengthened. We are being faced with the threat to remove our freedoms. The freedom to speak. The freedom to bear arms. The freedom to worship. We must stand firmly and believe without a doubt that even with these looming threats, we are still who God says we are. The freedom to enter his Throne room cannot be taken from us. The freedom to communicate with him and be in relationship with him cannot be stolen. The freedom to be defended by him and to praise his name will always be with us. Light will always dispel the darkness. The veil is gone, and will stay gone as you continue to access the ladder to hope and practice who God says you are.
