The Fight for Freedom

We the people have been caught up in a world of distraction and offense. Distractions like social media, masks, skin color, closures, corona virus numbers etc. Some of us have been bullied and called names, some of us have been the bully. When did we all forget about who we are and what this amazing country we live in stands for? When did we start assuming that just because someone posts an article about our freedoms, they have evil characters? What happened to the freedom to speak about our beliefs, the freedom to choose, and the life of opportunity? “America is an experiment in self-government, founded on specific ideals and preserved through obedience to a set of morality-based core values couched in an incentive-motivated social and economic system of free enterprise.  America is a land of opportunity, not entitlement, which is clearly spelled out by our inspired Founding Fathers who wrote the U.S. Constitution.” Paul Skousen

But, ideals and morals are quickly dissipating. The destroyer of our soul wants you to believe that the past will not teach you how to make the future better! The destroyer of your soul wants you to think that opinions form who we are. The destroyer of your soul wants you to be afraid! Fear will paralyze and blind you from seeing real issues. Issues like children being trafficked, murdered, and trampled under foot. Fear will muzzle your mouth and keep you from living in a place of liberty and freedom. Fear will close your heart to praise. Fear will make you forget the power of God. Fear takes away your opportunities and buries you in a world that is driven by control.

Now, when opinions or beliefs are expressed there is risk of getting fired, shamed, bullied, or even killed. Fear holds us back and binds us to places we do not belong.

Ronald Reagan said this:

“America was founded on a dream, and now it’s your turn to keep that dream moving. We’ve always reached for a new spirit and aimed at a high goal. We’ve always been courageous, determined, unafraid, and bold. Who among us ever wants to say we no longer have those qualities? We look to you to meet the great challenge, to reach beyond the commonplace and not fall short for lack of creativity and courage. And to do this? All you need is to have faith and that dream will come true. All you need to do is act, and the time for action is now!”

When did we forget to dream? When did we become captured by a fear driven society? When did we forget the hardships our forefathers endured so we could have this life? When did our country become so entitled that many want to shred every element of history?

“Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?…..Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Every time I’ve traveled outside of our country I have returned with gratefulness in my heart. Can you see what we have been given? Can you proudly lift your head in praise to the immense freedom we have worked for?   Protecting our rights will never grow old. Speaking the truth about all that is cherished is not old fashioned. Standing for your country, the land of the free and the home of the brave will put the destroyer who hates you under your feet!

“For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced-beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to seperate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents] but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

Ephesians 6:12
