Today is our wedding anniversary! Yes, 39 years; it’s a little hard to believe that it’s been 39 years. Through the joys and the sorrows, we have made the choice to be together. We’ve shared many good times, and a few not so good, but we’ve shared them together. We’ve raised children, and watched God grow them. We enjoy grandchildren. We’ve moved a lot. We’ve laughed a lot. And, there’s been tears too. We’ve gained and we’ve lost. We have walked together with different perspectives and opinions, yet still on the same path.
So, today we will enjoy a laid back day together by the lake and a treat of ice cream and dinner. I’m looking forward to the time together, for that is what we’ve always done, we do together. Through the together of life I see that God has given me the best friend I could ever dream to have. He has matched me with a soul connection that cannot be broken. He has glued us together through experiences, children, grandchildren, and a hope for more to come. Hope fuels our walk, and turns something about everyday into a perfect day.
Marriage is not always easy, but at the end of the day; I still recommend it!
